While speaking in a Formula 1 press conference, Pirelli’s vice-president Marco Tronchetti-Prover was full of praises for Inter Milan’s star striker Lautaro Martinez by comparing him to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. The Argentine captain has been in sensational form for the Nerazzurri and has been the club’s top-scorer for two consecutive seasons.
As reported by FcInterNews, Tronchetti-Prover compared him to the highly successful Belgian-Dutch driver Max Verstappen. He said that Martinez imitated Verstappen in Serie A. The striker is yet to be the league’s outright top scorer, missing the spot to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen last season.
The player inherited the captain armband from goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who left the club last season.“Without a doubt. He’s a top-class player,” Prover added in his praises of the striker, motivating him to improve his club performances and guide them to glory this season. Martinez had failed to create an impact in Inter-Milan’s historic campaign to the Champions League final last season.
He had been involved in an essential one-on-one chance for his side, saved by Ederson of Manchester City. The vice president also weighed in on the club’s recent draw to Bologna, saying, “We’re used to the suffering.” as they scrape through victories. The Nerazzurri are currently second in the Serie A, just two points behind city rivals AC Milan.

Lautaro Martinez ordered to compensate babysitter
Inter Milan‘s star forward, Lautaro Martinez, has been ordered by an Italian court to compensate the family of his former babysitter. Martinez allegedly terminated her contract upon learning of her terminal illness, tragically leading to her passing in January 2023. The babysitter’s family contested her dismissal as ‘illegally terminated’ and subsequently took legal action against Martinez.

After reviewing the case, the Court of Milan ruled that Martinez must compensate the family, as reported by Sport Italia. In response to the court’s decision, Martinez and his wife, Argentine model Agustina Gandolfo, expressed their discontent on Instagram, accusing the babysitter’s family of attempting to tarnish their reputation and exploit the situation for financial gain.
The exact amount of compensation to be paid remains undisclosed. Despite this legal dispute, Lautaro Martinez excels on the football field, currently serving as Inter Milan’s club captain and demonstrating an impressive start to the season with 10 goals in eight league matches.
