Popstar Dua Lipa amidst rumors about her performance at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar has denied all the rumors. She addressed that she has never been approached for the performance, and also quoted the Human Rights abuses in the Gulf country, as per reports.

Calling for the host nation to address its Human Rights abuses. The singer was one of the most anticipated luxury presence in the country and fans from all around the world, agreed with that. The country has been surrounded by protests from the whole world condemning the World Cup hosts.

In her Instagram story, the famous singer wrote, “I will not be performing and nor have I been involved in any negotiations to perform,”, and “I will be cheering England on from afar.” Giving out a definitive statement about the rumors and sightings that she might visit the country in the near future.

“I look forward to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup.” Said the singer on her stand and calling out the nation for their anti-other gender laws and treatment of the migrant workforce.
