Man United is presently last in the Premier League after losing their first two games to Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion, while Liverpool, who finished second last season, is 12th after drawing their opening two matches against Fulham and Crystal Palace.

To earn a point in a 2-2 draw against Fulham on the opening weekend of the season, Liverpool twice had to come from behind. On Monday, they also fell behind early against Crystal Palace thanks to Wilfried Zaha before Luis Diaz equalized just before the hour. Given that Darwin Nunez received a red card against Patrick Vieira’s team and is now ineligible to go to Old Trafford, the Reds must take extra precautions to prevent Man City from gaining an early and substantial advantage.
