A very breaking piece of news has come forth for all football fans across the world. The Fenway Sports Group is currently accepting bids from a variety of parties, and sources indicate that they have created a thorough sales presentation and extensive brochure to entice potential buyers to purchase the Merseyside club. In October 2010, FSG purchased the rights from George Gillett and Tom Hicks.

Forbes estimated Liverpool at £3.89 billion as of May 2022, but given that Todd Boehly, owner of the LA Dodgers, recently purchased Chelsea for £4.25 billion, the Merseyside giants would probably want a price that matched. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, two of the biggest names in investment banking, are reportedly offering them financial guidance.

FSG gave out the note, “FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club”

Liverpool has experienced tremendous success under the direction of Fenway Sports Group (FSG), with some of the credit also going to their current coach, Jurgen Klopp, who they recruited in 2015. The group successfully managed to win the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the Premier League, and the UEFA Champions League.

RedBird Capital Partners purchased an 11% share in the company from FSG in 2021 for £655 million. The plan was to invest their remaining funds in the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. Additionally, they own 50% of Roush Fenway Racing, the NESN television network, the Boston Red Sox baseball team, and Fenway Sports Management.
