Vinicius Jr. was recently trolled for partying. The Brazilian winger was on a video call with Eder Militao, with both of them conversing with Real Madrid scout, Juni Calafat. Calafat trolled Vinicius for his parties in Ibiza and said the club did not have money to sign Kylian Mbappe due to this.
Kylian Mbappe has been long linked to Real Madrid. Even the current players at Marid want Mbappe to join them at Real. Vinicius and Eder Militao accepted that they wanted the Frenchman on their squad. They accepted this in front of Juni Calafat- the scout at Real Madrid.
“You are spending all your money in Ibiza and we’ll no longer have enough money for Mbappé,” said Juni Calafat in a sarcastic manner. Real Madrid does not have the necessary funds to land Mbappe this summer as they already have spent a high fee for Jude Bellingham. Meanwhile, Vini’s partying lifestyle is well-known as well. Calafat thus admitted Real’s financial woes and also managed to hit a joke out on Vinicius.
Vinicius thus might be heading into the new season without a proper strike partner. His old partner and club captain, Karim Benzema left the club for Saudi Arabia this year. Although Real have signed Joselu, many expected Mbappe to fill out the striker role at Madrid.
Vinicius Jr. asked for iconic No.7 at Real Madrid
The Brazilian star winger, Vinicius Jr., is going to wear the iconic number 7 at Real Madrid the next season. People expect Vinicius to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is synonymous with the No.7 at Real Madrid. Reports suggest that Vinicius personally asked for the number.
The number was vacated since Eden Hazard’s departure (the last owner of the no.7 jersey). As a result, Vinicius purposely asked for the number and Real Madrid obliged. The winger switched out his older jersey- the number 20, which he had worn since 2018. Meanwhile, Vinicus’ teammate and compatriot Rodrygo also switched jerseys along with him. He will be donning the No.11 shirt.
Furthermore, the Royal Whites were more than happy to have Vini as their new number 7. As they believe Vinicius to be the face of the club with a worldwide popularity. Madrid are utmost pleased to have a player like him with them and are expecting bigger things from him.
