As per reports Eden Hazard has decided to leave Real Madrid this summer. The Belgian superstar’s forgettable stay at the Spanish capital will finally come to an end on June 30, drawing a close to one of the worst transfers in the history of the game.
Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid in 2019 as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo but since then the Belgian has barely featured in any of the games for the club due to prolonged spells of injuries. He also gained weight and lost his mojo which made him one of the most terrifying players to face in Europe.
Hazard returned from injury in 2022 but was benched for most of the time. The player was not even in the plans of Carlo Ancelotti, so he didn’t get enough game time.
In the current season, Hazard scored a goal and provided two assists. Since 2019 the Belgium player has appeared in 76 games, scored seven goals, and provided 12 assists.
Eden Hazard had a contract till 2024 but Real Madrid wanted him to leave and there has been an agreement for him to depart. Hazard has taken retirement from international football after Belgium lost against Corotria in the 2022 World Cup Round of 16.
And after he departs from Real Madrid, the player will likely announce his retirement from football. However, it is not decided by him yet even as of now there are no big European clubs that are willing to sign the player.
Eden Hazard will say goodbye to Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid fans this Sunday, June 4 after the match against Athletic Club in the home stadium.
Real Madrid speculating to sign Kai Havertz in this summer transfer window
The Spanish giants are speculating to crack the deal of Kai Havertz in this summer transfer window. The club president, Florentino Perez, is very cautious after Karim Benzema received an offer from Saudi Arabia.
The club is preparing for the worst situation if it occurs in the future. Certainly, the future of the Frenchman is still not confirmed at Real Madrid although he gave assurance to the fans by saying, “Why should I talkabout the future? I’m at Real Madrid. Reality is not the same as what is said on the internet.”
Despite this statement of Karim Benzema, Florentino Perez is looking forward to bringing Kai Havertz as a new striker of Real Madrid. The club identifies Havertz as a perfect no.9 and a replacement for the Frenchman.
