Real Madrid’s defeat to Manchester City ends the Los Blancos’ dream to defend their Champions League title. Toni Kroos posted an emotional message after his side saw the exit in the Semi-final clash against Manchester City. 

The German midfielder called the Champions League Los Blancos’ ‘favorite’ tournament. Kroos expressed that it was difficult to accept the defeat. He said ‘Just not good enough last night’ as Los Blancos would like to forget the defeat against Manchester City.

Real Madrid took the lead in Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg. Manchester City equalized the same night unless seeing a 5-1 defeat on aggregate in the second leg. Toni Kroos saw one of the long shots hitting the crossbar. The German International claims that Real Madrid ‘will go with the head held high’

One could never forget how Los Blancos defeated Manchester City in the Semi Final last season. The team trailing with one goal turned the game in the last few minutes.
