Real Madrid, spearheaded by the MVP Tavares, claimed the title for the 36th time in the club’s history with a 3-1 win over Barcelona in the final series, played at the WiZink Center.

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez saw the team’s victory over Barca at the WiZink Center, as the basketball team secured the 36th league title in the club’s history.

After the match, he had the following to say, “The season’s been fantastic in both football and basketball. In basketball, we won the Spanish Super Cup and the league against our arch-rivals, which is extremely difficult. We just missed out on the EuroLeague, but we’re delighted with what this team’s done, with the spirit of sacrifice and the work they’ve put in”.

“I couldn’t ask for more and neither could the fans. You only have to see how overjoyed they were. I’d like to say to them that joy here is short-lived and that we have to start working now so that next year we can have another season like this one”.
