Karim Benzema, Real Madrid’s star forward, shared a post on his Instagram story, where he was hugging his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The post was shared by Real Madrid’s official account earlier on February 20. The post had several slides of Real Madrid’s goals and feats in the Champions League matches. Karim Benzema, whose relationship with the Portuguese international was questioned last month, silenced the rumors with his Instagram story.

Cristiano Ronaldo visited his former club in January, as Real Madrid was training in the Al-Nassr training facility. Ronaldo, who had signed a record-breaking €73 million-a-year deal with the Saudi Club in December, was present there. He appeared in numerous photos with many players of the Real Madrid squad. He also clicked a picture with former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

However, his former strike partner Karim Benzema was missing, and no pictures were shared of the duo. The lack of photos raised quite a few rumors, claiming Benzema and Ronaldo’s relationship was not looking good. Benzema, however, shut the rumors quickly, “We don’t need a photo to say that we’re friends. I couldn’t say hello to him because he was training but hopefully I’ll be able to see him on Sunday.”
