Brazilian wonderkid Filipe Endrick reportedly gifted a car to his best friend. He was seen posing in front of the car along with his best friend and a kid.

According to reports, the Palmeiras striker Endrick has gifted a luxurious car to his best friend on her birthday. A photo has circulated all over the internet where Endrick could be standing alongside his best friend and having the car wrapped up in a red ribbon. While the make of the car is not certain, the extravagant gift has raised a few eyebrows about the nature of “friendship” between the starlet and the woman.

The fans have not missed out the chance of criticising the player’s lavish spending as soon as getting exposed to some money. The lavish spending habit has been the bane of Brazilian footballers for a long time. Apart from Kaka and Ronaldo Nazario, most other Brazilian football stars have found it difficult to manage their resources after making it to the top.

According to reports, Felipe Endrick has criticised the media scrutiny placed on him. The forward reportedly claimed that he ‘didn’t ask for this.’

Endrick is among the highest-rated young players in the world and will join Real Madrid when he turns 18. But he has struggled for form in recent weeks. Despite going at better than a goal a game for Brazil under-16s, Endrick recently went 14 games without finding the net for his club Palmeiras.

After breaking the drought in a 2-1 loss to Agua Santa last weekend, the teenager opened up about the criticism he has received. Endrick reportedly said, “It does not bother me to not score goals. Because I know that things will improve naturally. I just need to keep my mind strong. The criticism will not diminish and I will have to endure it more and more”.

Endrick went on to question the pressure he had placed on him at such a young age. He said, “Sometimes I wonder: why did so many media put the spotlight on me? I didn’t ask for this. There are situations that cross the line. ‘Ah, he’s the new Pele.’ Nobody is going to be Pele, he’s the king of football. There is nothing I can do – I can’t ask people not to talk about my life. There will always be people to attack me”.
