After speculation about an alleged quarrel between Gerard Pique and Shakira‘s brother, Tonino Mebarak, a source close to the former footballer denied the altercation. According to La Vanguardia, the informant told him that the aforementioned men never physically assaulted each other at the time that Tonito and the former Barcelona captain coincided in Miami.
Indeed, the gossiping bird allegedly told the Spanish newspaper that there are no police reports that evidence the murmurs, information that was backed by the paparazzi Jordi Martin.
“It is categorically false that Gerard Pique has come into contact with Tonino the brother of Shakira in Miami,” the well-known photographer wrote on his Twitter account.
Speculation of the alleged fight arose after journalist Veronica Bastos reported that Mebarak and Gerard had an argument to defend Shakira. This was after Pique arrived in Miami, the United States, to visit her children. Veronica said, “Gerard came to the city of Miami to spend it with his children. The news of the weekend is that Shakira is supposed to have had a strong fight with her ex and said argument with Piqué became so violent that, supposedly, Tonino should have gone to blows to defend his sister.”
