Shakira reportedly had a physical altercation with Gerard Pique’s mother before the split

According to the reports from the Latin Post, Gerard Pique‘s ex Shakira and his mother Montserrat Bernabeu got into a physical altercation. They also stated that Montserrat knew about his son’s affair.  Sources close to the couple said that Piqué’s mother knew about his son’s infidelity. And she even helped him cover his relationship with Clara Chia. 

In an interview, Spanish journalist Laura Fe said, “It’s all because when the relationship between Piqué and Clara Chia began. They took refuge in Piqué’s parents’ house in Cabrils, Spain.”  Meanwhile, the report also states that a source close to the family witnessed a physical altercation between Shakira and Montserrat.

The source said that the two women had a serious argument and “Montserrat punched Shakira in the face in front of Gerard and his children”.  Although the incident remains unverified. 

The reports contradict the ones from the Spanish magazine Lecturas. According to it, people close to Gerard’s mom stated that she “did everything she could” to help their relationship. Meanwhile, Gerard recently talked about the split for the first time. And he reportedly said that he wanted to “be faithful to himself.”

Shakira found “new love” in Miami: Reports

Shakira reportedly has a new man in her life. Spanish media claimed that Shakira, who is set to move to Florida after signing a child custody agreement with Gerard Piqué, has been dating someone in Miami.

Spanish outlet OK Diario stated Shakira met the “mystery man” several months ago, according to reports. The website stated, “It seems the Colombian singer could have found a new illusion in the shape of a mysterious man she met in Miami. And has been in contact with for four months.”

Despite the description being cryptic, it’s thought the man in question isn’t her former flame Antonio de la Rúa. It’s not known when Shakira will be making the move to Florida. Shakira’s mom Nidia Ripoll had suffered a blood clot in her leg for which she is undergoing treatment and this is what stopping the Waka Waka singer from relocating.

The Pique-Shakira fiasco has been on the front page for the past three months and the way the two have handled the situation up until now, it is very difficult to see any silver lining. However, one can expect that if Shakira settles down with the mystery man, the fire will die down.
