Renowned Premier League midfielder hits out at journalist for objectifying his girlfriend

Douglas Luiz and his girlfriend Alisha Lehmann

A Brazilian journalist had made derogatory remarks and posted a video on Twitter of Alisha Lehmann the women footballer, whose boyfriend, the Premier League player and Aston Villa star midfielder Douglas Luiz has set the record straight by tweeting a befitting reply to the journalist who has somewhere lost his manners in his long life.

Recently a Brazilian reporter posted a video in which a female player scores and celebrates by turning her back to the camera, to which the reporter asked, forget the celebration, what was the number on her shirt?. Remarks such as these, which are actually objectifying women, are disrespectful, and got a well-deserved blow back.

The player was seen fuming when he wrote, “You are old, years in Football and post a video that doesn’t respect women’s football nor the player who is my girlfriend, You never learned what respect is! Damn!” The statement rightfully so, degraded the man’s position as a reporter and as a man as well.
