Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines once again for his record of scoring a goal for 22 consecutive years. The Portuguese forward’s latest feat led his team, Al Nassr, to a 2-2 draw against Al Fateh on Friday.

The first half of the match saw Al Fateh take the lead through Cristian Tello in the 12th minute. However, Al Nassr’s Talisca levelled the score just before halftime with three minutes plus added time left on the clock. The second half started with a bang, as Al Fateh’s Sofiane Bendebka scored a second in the 58th minute.

The former Real Madrid man stepped up and delivered what the fans were hoping for, putting the ball in the back of the net to bring the score level from the spot. With his goal, Ronaldo not only marked 22 years of scoring but also helped his team nullify Al Fateh’s one-goal cushion. Al Nassr is still at the top of the Saudi Pro League with 34 points from 15 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr last month, after ‘mutually terminating’ his contract with Manchester United during the 2022 World Cup due to the 37-year-old’s televised interview with British Media personality Piers Morgan. However, his record-breaking $75 Million a year deal was met with mixed reactions.
