Reynolds, the Deadpool star, expressed his thrill over McClean joining the squad. Reynolds believes in the Irish International footballer’s enormous talent, experience, and leadership qualities. McClean’s 100 international appearances and recognition as the Wigan player of the year strengthen his quality and worth to Wrexham. Reynolds emphasized how McClean’s addition to the squad would boost the team’s confidence and bring crucial experience to the dressing room.

The transfer deal is reported to be worth around £250,000. McClean has already missed Wrexham’s League Two opener match against MK Dons. Still, the Irish Winger is expected to debut in the Carabao Cup against his former club Wigan on 8th August.

On Sky Sports, Reynolds and McElhenney talked about their new signing and said, “Not just because obviously he’s an enormous talent and a huge addition to the team, he’s a leader. He’s one of these guys you speak to, and you are immediately filled with confidence, and you understand that he understands what’s ahead of him and the job he needs to do.”

Expectations are pretty high as McClean’s arrival is significantly high on Wrexham’s frontline attack. McClean brings well-defined experience and proven career statistics. With 100 appearances for the Republic of Ireland, McClean has secured 11 goals. Wrexham’s recruitment of McClean is seen as a wise move, not just for his on-field abilities but also to replace the void created by the injury of talismanic striker Paul Mullin.

With his leadership qualities, McClean can shine in high-pressure games and contribute effectively on the field to rank up in League Two. With his sheer humility, work ethic, and passion for the game, he can guide and motivate aspiring players in the locker room.
