In a surprising revelation, world-popular Colombian superstar Shakira confessed on Saturday about facing significant pressure from her management to withhold the release of another song dissing his ex-husband Gerard Pique. The song is titled “BZRP Music Sessions #53,” in collaboration with Argentina-based music producer Bizarrap.

During a recent interview with Primer Impacto, Shakira expressed her joy at the song’s massive popularity and success, reminiscing about the opposition she faced from her team who earlier asked her to alter the lyrics before releasing the song. She further makes it clear that as an artist, she possesses freedom of expression and decided to stand her ground refusing to be affected by any external pressures. As of now, the music video has over 600 million views on Youtube and has been widespread on social media platforms.

“I didn’t think it was going to be so iconic. Many people around me, from my team, told me ‘No, you’re not going to release that song, Shakira. You have to change the lyrics, and I am not an employee of the United Nations or a public official. I am an artist and I have to express myself,” said the Colombian pop star on his diss track to his ex-husband Pique.
