Shakira makes startling confession about special ‘kiss’ to Gerard Pique, reveals how she almost stopped an aeroplane over Barcelona for him

Shakira and Gerard Pique announced their break up in June 2022 after 11 years together. It has been a rocky ride since then as the problems of the relationship got exposed to the media. The singer even released a song about their breakup with the Barcelona icon and about his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
Recently, the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer opened up about the relationship candidly. She confessed to a romantic incident during her relationship with the former defender.
Speaking to El Pais, Shakira said, “We were flying over Barcelona and I asked the pilot of the plane if I could land briefly just to give Gerard a kiss.” She continued, “It’s the most romantic thing I’ve ever done. I don’t know if the Agency will have it for me computed as a day in Spain.”
The singer has previously talked about how she sympathizes with the issues her ex-boyfriend faced with his former club even after their breakup. “Gerard had a rather complicated relationship with Barça. With Guardiola, he had a super tense relationship, of ‘you go or I go’. It was a situation that made him suffer a lot.” She revealed.
She also revealed how their relationship was doomed from the start. “Our relationship was very turbulent, it was a Dragon Khan because our professional lives didn’t match, it was like putting oil and water together. I was a globetrotter and he had to keep to a schedule,” said the pop icon.

Since their breakup, the couple has reached a custody agreement. It states that the couple’s children will move from Barcelona to Miami where Shakira’s family home is situated in. Pique confirmed his relationship with Clara Chia Marti, a few weeks after Shakira dropped the diss track on them.
In April, Shakira left Barcelona and moved to Miami with their kids as per the agreement. “Today we begin a new chapter in pursuit of their happiness,” she said on a statement put out by her on Instagram.
Recently, she was spotted with British Formula One great Lewis Hamilton in Barcelona, Spain. It was during the F1 Spanish Grand Prix when she was spotted having dinner with him along with other friends. According to rumors, Gerard Pique is set to announce his engagement with Clara Chia Martin and the couple plan to get married soon.
The split has obviously affected the couple and their children. But they slowly seem to be getting their lives back on track.
