After the Glazers (current Manchester United owners) announced their resolution to explore other ‘strategic alternatives’ in terms of their ownership of the club, the fans await their club’s new owner(s). Since going up for sale in November of last year the Qatari politician Sheikh Jassim, and the British businessman Jim Ratcliffe have come forth expressing their interest in ownership.
The current owners favour Ratcliffe as their successor for the reason that they will have a share in the new ownership as well. However, reports say that the Qatari politician has prevailed in the bidding process and may take over Manchester United for a monumental £6 billion by the second week of October. Sheikh Jassim has also agreed to waive off the existing debt of £725 million during the takeover.
His takeover and the proposed framework include an upgrade of Old Trafford and the training facility as well as serious investment into the squad. Since the Glazers took over in 2005, they have been subject to great criticism and backlash from fans, ex-players and managers alike.

Ten Hag to make important squad decision as Højlund returns from injury
Following the signing of Rasmus Højlund in the summer and his subsequent injury, Erik ten Hag employed both Garnacho and Antony up front. However, neither managed to impress the Manchester United boss. After a narrow 1-0 win at Wolves, the Red Devils fell to Tottenham 2-0. It has now become a ‘need’ for them to sort out attacking problems before the window closes.
Further, Mason Mount has also failed to hit the ground running at his new club. In spite of playing very few minutes, the English midfielder has been the subject of harsh criticism online as well. The former Chelsea man was considered a huge boost to the team’s attacking midfield area but his returns so far have been an issue.
So, there are speculations that the boss might shuffle the players up front and add his £64 million young forward in place of Mount. Ten Hag has a decision to make once the Danish marksman returns from injury as to who will make way for the star signing.
