Pep Guardiola adds to his summer signings with recent Ligue 1 acquisition Jeremy Doku. The Belgian joins from Rennes on a £55.5 million fee. He follows Mateo Kovacic and Joskvo Gvardiol as the 3 summer signings made by Manchester City. The 21-year-old Belgian winger scored 6 goals in Ligue 1 last season and also scored in the season opener.

Earlier, in April 2023, while talking in Prime Video Sport France, Thierry Henry hailed Doku as a player to keep an eye on this summer. Henry further added that he is fast, exceptional with both feet, and dribbles quickly as well. Hence, this makes Doku the youngster to watch out for in the upcoming season and how he thrives in his new team under Guardiola.
