The 32-year-old Spanish player has been on the verge of exhausting his career, now was definitely not the time for a club like PSG to release the said player. His termination of contract from PSG will result in him going back to Athletic Bilbao to play in the La Liga, that too on a free transfer.
Ander Herrera was seen playing against Monaco last as a PSG midfielder, and he played well, a deserving candidate for the role in any top-tier team. However, the player was not getting enough chances and time to play as compared to other players of his league and profile. A good salary may have tempted the Spaniard to make a move from a good season at Manchester United to the Parc Des Princes.
