Real Madrid was on the hunt for a striker this transfer window. With the departure of the club captain- Karim Benzema, Real have had a massive hole in front of their attack. Many expected Real to splash the cash and get a new striker.

Madridistas were hopeful for a new Galactico signing. Many names were linked to the club- Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and Victor Osimhen to name a few. However, Real have decided not to purchase any of the strikers in the current window. This decision has surprised many.

Instead of spending big bucks to sign Kylian Mbappe, Madrid will bide their time. With Mbappe’s contract expiring next year, Real are looking to steal the Frenchman on a free transfer. Kylian Mbappe has been a lifelong fan of the Los Blancos and would be an ideal candidate to fit into their attack.

With Mbappe already communicating that he will not renew his PSG contract, Real looks at his next destination. Madrid will approach Mbappe with a pre-contract agreement in January. However, they have insisted that Mbappe will be approached only when the player shows his willingness to commit to Madrid. They will not entertain all demands of Mbappe and will not indulge in a fiasco like the previous year. The only striker Madrid are signing in the meantime is the Spanish player, Joselu.

Real Madrid has allegedly completed the loan signing of Espanyol attacker Joselu. The agreement is thought to be finalized and signed, signaling an important acquisition for the Spanish giants. In the Nations League semifinals, the 33-year-old was Spain’s hero, scoring a late victory against Italy.

Joselu will join Real Madrid on loan until June 2024, with the club paying Espanyol a sum of €500,000. Notably, the agreement includes a buy option clause, which is optional and priced at €1.5 million. As part of the deal, Joselu has agreed to lower his compensation.

Joselu’s acquisition is expected to strengthen Real Madrid’s attacking capabilities after he scored an outstanding 17 goals the previous season. The 33-year-old offers valuable expertise and knowledge to a top-tier team like Real Madrid. With rumors claiming that Madrid are not looking for a striker, it appears that the Spaniard will lead the line for Los Blancos.
