Moises Caicedo from Brighton has expressed his desire to move to Chelsea. Despite Liverpool‘s mind-boggling £110 million deal being accepted by the club the Ecuadorian stays put with his initial thoughts. Chelsea have been the front-runners since May. The saga with Liverpool just lasted over 24 hrs as the Reds left it too late to bid for the exciting young talent. Finally, the latest reports confirm that Caicedo has his eyes set on Chelsea.
Liverpool’s status as a force prepared to invest in young talents to solidify their future was met with harsh realities. Although the Reds are akin to keeping their pockets tight, they went a mile to bid for Brighton’s exciting midfield prospect- Moises Caicedo. But, unfortunately, the midfielder’s desire to join Chelsea was met with real shock by the Merseysiders.
As per multiples reports, it was revealed after proper discussions between Liverpool and Brighton, during which the Reds ultimately outbid Chelsea for Caicedo’s signature. Initially, Chelsea made a starting bid of a whopping £100 million for the player, falling short of Liverpool’s record-breaking British offer. Even Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp confirmed the potential ‘move’ of the player to Merseyside. For this, the German manager was heavily trolled as well for speaking too soon.
Albeit, the agreement between the clubs was complete. However, the decision not to choose Liverpool over Chelsea has come from the Ecuadorian’s camp. Hence the Anfield club is reportedly walking away from the deal. Consequently, Brighton are set to receive a final-revised bid from Chelsea soon.

Even though the Caicedo transfer saga’s final chapter has not yet been written. But fans believe that it is done for the Merseyside club.
The news regarding the Ecuadorian’s decision to join the Blues became widespread across the football community. It led to heated discussions and debates.
