Sources close to Hakim Ziyech hint at possibility of a conspiracy theory leading to his failed move to Al Nassr
Still 30, Ziyech would want to revive his career away from London, however, it looks like that will be difficult now.

Hakim Ziyech‘s proposed move to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr has reportedly broken down due to a persistent knee injury that the player was carrying, according to reports. This is the second time Ziyech was subjected to a failed transfer as he was left stranded in Paris in winter. Apparently, Chelsea failed to send the correct paperwork to complete the player’s proposed loan move to Paris Saint Germain.
The Moroccan international has lost his place at Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Graham Potter earlier this season. He looks deflated and demotivated during whatever little time he was asked to play. Still 30, Ziyech would want to revive his career away from London, however, it looks like that will be difficult now.
Admittedly, offloading Ziyech will be a positive for both parties. Chelsea finished the season with 44 players on their roster, which is bloated, to say the least. Since the dismal end of the campaign, they have started to offload players. Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, and Kalidou Koulibaly are some of the major names that have been already moved on. If Ziyech can get a club, he will be able to regain his confidence while Chelsea will have one less reason to worry about.
Since joining Chelsea in 2020 for £40 million, Ziyech has made just 107 appearances, 69 under Thomas Tuchel. He has been a shell of his Ajax self in England. With his hopes of joining Al Nassr dead in the water, Ziyech’s chances of reviving his career look bleak.

Ziyech throws some shade at Al-Nassr
Ziyech was expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer. In addition to his Chelsea teammates Kante, Koulibaly, and Mendy, there were other players poised to join Saudi Arabian teams. However, a late problem prevented Ziyech from joining Al Nassr, the team Cristiano Ronaldo plays for. The initial deal offered by the Saudi club underwent changes after Ziyech’s medical examination found some issues.
Al Nassr initially proposed a 40% reduction in Hakim Ziyech’s contract salary, leading to the breakdown of the transfer and his continued stay at Stamford Bridge, at least for the time being. However, Ziyech took to Instagram to express his perspective on the situation, sharing a post where he dismissed any suggestions of knee issues.
Meanwhile, Al Nassr is closing in on the £20 million capture of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. Brozovic is set to sign a lucrative three-year deal with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. The transfer fee is reported to be 18 million euros, and Brozovic has agreed to a three-year deal worth more than 25 million euros, nearly $30 million per season.
