Mason Greenwood, the former Manchester United forward, has announced his departure from the club after mutual consent with the Premier League giants. The decision came after a thorough investigation into Greenwood’s case of s****l assault and attempted r*pe which was dismissed in February 2023 by the Crown Court.

Following his contract termination, many Saudi clubs have approached the young English talent for the new season. Reportedly, Al-Ettifaq is keen to sign the 22-year-old and looking to make a bid soon. However, Al-Ettifaq’s newly appointed coach, Steven Gerrard, has denied all the rumors and speculation about the transfer move.

Mason Greenwood, in his last public statement during parting his ways with Manchester United has stated that he won’t be returning to Old Trafford. He wrote that he also takes full responsibility and blames for the mistakes he has made in his relationship.

He further added, “Now, I’m focused on the big responsibility of being a father, as well as a good partner. I am learning to understand my responsibilities to set a good example as a professional footballer.”

Mason Greenwood’s future venture has been a hot topic all over social media and among fans of the football community. The former young Red Devil is all set to bid adieu to Old Trafford. While it is not how he expected to part ways with his boyhood club, this is the best way.

After being dismissed from all the charges of s****l assault and attempted r*pe earlier in February 2023, by the Crown Court Prosecution, he has been given a second chance at his professional football career to nurture. However due to major backlash from social media and fans all over, Manchester United decided to terminate his contract which was till the season 2025.

Now the question arises, Where will Greenwood go for his next club venture? Among the many clubs, it was rumored Serie A side, Roma, has also been a front-runner in getting the English striker’s signature. The rumored move earlier created a chance to rejoin his ex-manager, Jose Mourinho. But the Portuguese soon dismissed all the speculations.
