The Netherlands international will soon travel to England for a medical and to finalize the switch. Despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, the 23-year-old has chosen to sign for Liverpool, who have acted quickly to secure the player.
Fabrizio Romano then also confirmed the deal by saying; “Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, here we go! The deal has been signed between the two clubs. Gakpo will travel to England in the next days to undergo medical tests and then sign the contract.” Gakpo is set to put pen to paper on a long-term agreement later in the week, with all the necessary details having been finalized.
