“That winning feeling”- Twitter goes crazy as Arsenal further dents Manchester United’s top-4 chances after beating them 3-1 in Premier League 2021-22

Arsenal defeated Manchester United in a thrilling match 3-1 after Bruno Fernandez misses a penalty. The Red Devils are out from the top four races as Arsenal makes their place stronger at the fourth place with 60 points and 5 matches to play.
Rangnick’s side went 2-0 down in the first half before Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th Premier League goal to pull one back for the Glazers but it wasn’t enough to see them overcome the 2-1 deficit. Arsenal went ahead in the 3rd minute after Tavares gave Arsenal the lead before Saka converts a penalty from the spot to give them a two-goal lead.
Within two minutes Ronaldo scored from a cross from Nemanja Matic to make a comeback. Manchester United won a penalty in the second half and should have capitalized from the spot but Bruno Fernandez failed to convert from the spot with Ronaldo stepping back from taking the penalty. The bar post denied him from scoring from the spot which turned the game for the Gunners and they went on to win the match.

Granit Xhaka scored a cracker of a goal in the second half to secure their win as they went 3-1 ahead with just 20 minutes to go to the game. He is now the second player to score more goals from outside the box and becomes the player with more goals from outside the box against Manchester United. Xhaka received a yellow card for his frustration as he kicked the ball out of the park but he redeemed himself by scoring the match-winning goal to take them above Tottenham.
Bruno Fernandez was trolled after he missed the penalty which should have had Manchester United equalize on goal terms, but with Ronaldo available on the pitch Bruno took the penalty which was shocking for the United fans. Ronaldo is the man to take the shot from the spot if he is available but Fernandez was given the responsibility and he disappoints.
After returning from leave due to his son’s tragic death, Cristiano Ronaldo was available to start the match and he started the game very positively as he scored his 100th Premier League goal for Manchester United and his 22nd of the season but his efforts goes in vain as United fails to get any point from the game. Cristiano Ronaldo dedicated his goal to his late son as he looked at heaven.

Arsenal now goes to the fourth place with 60 points ahead of Tottenham who played later in the day and could overtake Arsenal again if they win. Arsenal has 5 games to play in the league which gives an advantage of reaching the top four. Goals from Tavares, Saka, and Xhaka helped them beat Manchester United 3-1 after Ronaldo scored the only goal for the Red Devils.
It was a must-win for Rangnick’s side to stay in the race for the top four but failed to get any point from the match which statistically ends their hope of reaching the top 4. Arsenal next plays West Ham, whereas Manchester United will play Chelsea in the midweek, who is currently at the third spot.
