Thierry Henry (L) gives his opinion on Arsenal's recent form
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is not convinced with the Gunners’ recent spell of steady performances. The league leaders have had a month full of ups and downs since their 3-1 loss to Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City. Though Mikel Arteta’s side snatched the top spot again after beating Aston Villa 2-4 at Vila Park last week, the inconsistencies in their performance have started to rear their heads, worrying the Arsenal great.
Thierry Henry, unlike some Arsenal fans, still believes there is plenty of room for improvement. The Frenchman insisted that Mikel Arteta and his team should be focusing on the remaining season, as fighting for the top 4 spots is still one of ther biggest priorities. “We’re not there. I know people will tell me ‘Come on Thierry’. no, no, no. When and if we qualify, then we can talk about it,” the Arsenal legend via CBS Sports.
“Are we going to win the league? I don’t know. But it looks like the Arsenal I know,” Henry praised the efforts put in by the players as well as the fans this season. “You could see there was a little disconnection with the fans. All they want is to relate to a team that can compete. They didn’t boo the team (against Man City), defeats happen. Fans can understand that. What they don’t understand is when they don’t see a team that fights,” he added.
Although, the Arsenal legend did admire the change Mikel Arteta has brought to the mentality of the squad. He has helped the players realize the value of the badge they are playing for. This change in ethics at Emirates has reunited the Gunners’ fans with the players, changing the atmosphere in the home stadium this season.

Can Arsenal really win the Premier League this season?
The North London giants haven’t won a league title since the 2003/04 season. A Premier League drought that could last up to two decades if they end up losing this year’s title race. Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger was the last manager at Emirates to lift the Premier League trophy. The manager led the Gunners to three PL titles during his tenure at the club.
Next up, Arsenal will be facing Leicester City on February 25 at the King Power Stadium. Bukayo Saka, who has been in hot form for the Gunners this season would be looking forward to extending his scoring spree. The Englishman has nine goals and eight assists in 23 Premier League appearances.
After nineteen long years, Arsenal fans have risen from their graves to cheer for their team sitting at the leading top of the table. Just a few weeks ago, Mikel Arteta’s side was leading the league with a five-point advantage over the reigning champions. Although, their recent sloppy form has led that lead to reduce to just two points with a game in hand. Do you think they can finally win the league title this season?
