The AC Milan defender becomes the first opposition player to score against the African nation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. His brilliant finish inside the box left Bounou with no answers.

Morocco had only conceded one single goal against Canada in this tournament. Moroccon player Aguerd scored an own goal at the Al Thumama stadium. Since then, Morocco did not concede a single time throughout the tournament. They faced teams like Spain, Belgium, and Portugal on their way to meet France in the semis.

The French national team has been very organized in this World Cup and has only lost one match to Tunisia in the group stages. With Theo Hernandez’s early strike against the Africans, France has now scored against all the opponents they have faced in the tournament. Probably the toughest challenge of this World Cup was to score against the most defensive team in the tournament. It only took 5 minutes for the champions to do it.

The AC Milan defender was at the right place at the right moment as he gave France an early lead in the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He became the first player from an opponent player to beat Moroccon goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
