Manchester United finally ended their 6-year-long trophy drought after winning the 2022-23 Carabao Cup. The Red Devils completely dominated the final match against Newcastle United, a team that has shown some immense character in English football this season so far. United won the final with a final scoreline 2-0.

An early strike from Casemiro, who according to some has been the best signing of the season for Manchester United, gave the Red Devils a lead in the 33rd minute. An own goal from Sven Botman six minutes later doubled up the scoreline for the United stars and Newcastle never managed to find their way back into the match.
