Thomas Zilliacus withdraws his Manchester United bid, calls it a ‘farce’
Thomas Zilliacus is no more a part of the Manchester United bidding
One of the three bidders of Manchester United, Thomas Zilliacus has refrained from participating in bidding anymore. The Finnish businessman pulled off from the third bidding stage saying the process to be a ‘farce’
Zilliacus said that he won’t take part in the process from the third round. Stating that the Glazers only have a foul intention to make the value of the club higher.
“I think some of the [Glazer] siblings don’t want to sell, while others want to sell only if the price is minimum £6bn,” added the business personality.
The owner of the social media organization showed interest in the bidding process. The 69-year-old businessman aimed to own ‘half’ the share of the club. While the other half was owned by the fans of Manchester United. The decision of the Finnish businessman changed after there was an indication of a 3rd bid by the current American owners.
The report states that the Raine group of banks values the Premier League club for six billion pounds. The Finnish businessman wanted to own half the share of Manchester United while the other two bidders wanted 69% or a complete share respectively. The businessman stated that it is not right for the Glazer family to ask for offers from everyone. They should have only consulted with the three individuals with the public offer. The American businessman family values the club for more than 6 billion pounds.
