Recent sources indicate that Tottenham Hotspur has reached an agreement on personal terms with center-back Radu Dragusin for a long-term contract. Negotiations are underway between Spurs and Serie A team Genoa for a potential winter transfer deal for the Romanian defender for a fee in the range of €25 to €30 million.

Tottenham is grappling with a significant injury crisis, especially with key center-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven sidelined for an extended period. Veteran defender, Eric Dier‘s dip in form has forced Spurs to deploy natural full-backs Ben Davies and Emerson Royal in the center-back positions in recent games. The team’s recent 4-2 loss to Brighton highlighted defensive vulnerabilities, sparking concerns about squad depth. Manager Ange Postecoglou, initially reluctant about winter signings, has shifted his stance due to the urgent need for a new center-back.

Spurs plan to sign Radu Dragusin in January to team up with Dutch player Van de Ven, expected back by the third week. Originally interested in Nice’s Jean Clair Todibo, Spurs turned to Dragusin after the Todibo deal failed. Dragusin, valued at €25 million, is wanted by Spurs, but Genoa wants €30 million. The ex-Juventus player played a key role in Genoa’s promotion, with 38 appearances and 4 goals. His strong form persists this season, playing 18 matches and scoring twice.

Radu Dragusin could greatly benefit Tottenham due to their shortage of center-backs. The 21-year-old is known for his size, strength, ball control, and tactical awareness. His flexibility to play as a right-back adds an extra advantage for Postecoglou.

Veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris bids goodbye to Tottenham supporters

French goalkeeper and 2018 FIFA World Cup champion, Hugo Lloris has agreed on a move to MLS side Los Angeles FC from Tottenham on a free transfer. The 37-year-old has inked a contract until the conclusion of the 2024 season, marking the conclusion of his 11-year tenure at Spurs.

Lloris joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 from Lyon and won the Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award three times. He played over 450 games for Spurs, including the 2019 Champions League final.

Last summer, with a year left on his contract, he wanted to leave. His final game was a 6-1 loss to Newcastle in April. This season, Vicario and Forster became the main goalkeepers. Lloris said goodbye to the Tottenham fans during the team’s clash against Bournemouth.
