Tottenham and South Korean star, Heung Min Son had been on the best performers list for quite some time and fans believe that he could be opting for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur. Some are predicting that Real Madrid is going to be his next club as the star looks to win some trophies having gone trophyless since joining Tottenham in 2015.
He joined Spurs in 2015 and despite the club’s lack of trophies, he has by far been one of the best players in the world. Last season, he was the joint top scorer of the Premier League along with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and was ranked 11th at the Ballon d’Or 2022 making a mark individually despite his team’s yet another trophyless season.
With reports from channel Sport 1, Son feels that time is up at Spurs and is looking for a new challenge having reached 30 years a few months ago. Rumors suggest that European heavyweights like Real Madrid and PSG are interested in him and he can even end up joining them as both clubs have been fighting for several trophies and winning them every single season.
Is Real Madrid set to be his next stop?
As per reports, Heung Min Son wants to win some trophies and most importantly wants to play in the knockout stages of the Champions League which his current club has failed to participate in after their loss in the 2019 final against Liverpool. Real Madrid is a club who have been under the limelight as always and is the ultimate boss of the competition having won it for the record 14th time this year.
And also Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his interest in the South Korean stating him as a great player to have in his squad. So we can expect the club to go for Son in the next summer window which would be a great addition to their club with Benzema getting old and Hazard not being able to live up to the expectations after his big-money move from Chelsea way back in 2019.
