FC Barcelona go into the New Year with many problems that need to be resolved at the club. From injury to inconsistent form and finances, Joan Laporta and co. have several pending issues that call for concern. However, Vitor Roque the 18-year-old Brazilian sensation has arrived at the club. The youngster’s arrival and subsequent presentation will be the best way to kick off the New Year for last season’s La Liga champions.

As per reports, the club has decided on a date to unveil their latest signing, and it is January 3rd. On Wednesday, Vitor Roque will don Barca colors for the first time. The signing of Roque has been one that those at the club have heavily anticipated. The youngster is the latest to join an elite list of Brazilian superstars like Romario, Ronaldinho, and Neymar Jr.

Joao Felix to Thiago – A quick look at Barcelona’s plans in the transfer market

FC Barcelona find themselves in 4th position in La Liga. The defending league champions have not been at their best for the majority of the first half of the season and will look to bring things in order with the help of the January transfer window. Even though the club is currently managing a financial ‘bottleneck’, news of plans in the transfer market has been circulating.

Despite of his stellar start at the club, Joao Felix may end up leaving the club at the end of his loan deal. Even though his initial form at the club sparked conversation of a permanent deal, he has been largely inconsistent ever since. He only has six goals and 3 assists to show for his 29 outings in all competitions with the club. News of Xavi being heavily unimpressed with the Portuguese is also no secret.

Former Barcelona midfielder and Liverpool player Thiago Alcantara is heavily linked with a move back to the club. Xavi is desperate to bring him in January following a series of injuries at the club. Gavi is out with an ACL injury while Frenkie de Jong and Pedri have also struggled with fitness. Oriol Romeu, who was brought in to replace Sergio Busquets has been heavily underwhelming since his arrival in the summer. De Jong, who was initially linked with a move to Manchester United, has pledged his allegiance to the Blaugrana.
