Barcelona winger Vitor Roque was sent off 13 minutes after arriving on the pitch in the club’s 3-1 win over Alaves. In a scathing response to Roque’s dismissal, his wife Dayana Lins shared a social media story issuing a stern warning to the referee.

The 18-year-old Brazilian forward has been in good form since arriving at the Catalan side, last month. Roque has made seven appearances for the Blaugrana, scoring two goals. His recent goal came against Alaves in a 3-1 win, after being brought in as a 59th-minute substitute. However, he was later sent off controversially within 13 minutes. Roque received two consecutive yellow cards in a space of just four minutes.

Subsequently, questions arose regarding the second yellow card Vitor Roque received for a minor foul on Alaves defender Rafa Marin. Further, Barcelona also appealed against the referee Juan Munuera‘s decision.

Moreover, Roque’s wife, Dayana Lins expressed her discontent on Instagram warning the Spanish referee for his actions. She posted a video on her story with a filter and a ‘humorous’ message written for the ref in Portuguese, which translated as:

May God bless the life of this referee...

Vitor and Dayana got married in December last year, in a private ceremony in Brazil. She has often been spotted at the Camp Nou, cheering for her husband. Dayana is a social media influencer and model with a significant following on various platforms.

Barcelona launch an immediate appeal against Vitor Roque’s controversial red card against Alaves

FC Barcelona has appealed against the decision made by La Liga referee Juan Martinez Munuera to give 18-year-old forward Vitor Roque two yellow cards within four minutes. Roque was controversially sent off in the 72nd minute for a minor contact with defender Rafa Marin.

Blaugrana manager Xavi also blasted out on the referee’s decision, alleging further evidence of La Liga referee bias against his team. The club has appealed against the one-match ban for Vitor Roque. The Brazilian winger came off the best to score his second successive goal. Videos of the match initially showed minimal contact on the Alaves defender’s leg.

Marin later posted a photo of a cut leg to back up his version of events. This sparked controversy, with Barcelona fans claiming the images were fake, possibly of Alaves player Alex Sola. Marin responded to these claims by sharing an image of his legs.
