Hundreds of thousands of Liverpool fans have traveled to Paris to see the Champions League final. The match is anticipated to draw some 60,000 Reds fans to the French city, as the team aims to claim European football’s highest honor for the seventh time.

Due to travel disruptions and long lines at Dover, many spectators had difficulty arriving to the game. For the Stade de France’s 75,000-seat capacity, Liverpool was officially granted roughly 20,000 tickets.

Liverpool fans flood the streets of Paris before the UCL final:

Footballs were kicked into the air, flags were flown, and flares were let off in the fan zone, which was outlawed by French officials. A large police presence, including armed cops, is present in the vicinity.

The large audience then sang the club’s hymn, You’ll Never Walk Alone, before applauding club legend Kenny Dalglish to a platform that had been built up. Before supporters screamed his name, he addressed the audience about how incredible Liverpool’s season had been.

Real Madrid will be attempting to capture their 14th Champions League championship after their recent La Liga success. Thousands of Liverpool and Real Madrid fans have flooded the streets only hours before kickoff.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti should have a completely fit team to pick from, whilst Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had been concerned about the fitness of Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho before the big game, but both should be fine for the game.

Authorities stated on Thursday that 7,000 police officers will be on duty to corral people for Saturday’s Champions League final at the Stade de France, north of Paris, as many as 40,000 ticketless Liverpool fans are anticipated.

Real Madrid fans with game tickets will be able to enjoy a second fan park in the northern neighbourhood of Saint-Denis, where the Stade de France is located before the game begins. Local fans will be allowed to enter the fan zone after the Real fans have left the stadium.
