The advertising board during the preceding Ligue 1 match carried a message honoring seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi. The incident occurred during a match between the French clubs Paris Saint-Germain and OGC Nice. Paris Saint-Germain won the thrilling encounter 2-1 with a clean victory.
Legendary players Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi each scored the decisive goals for Paris Saint-Germain in the 83rd and 29th minutes, respectively. Messi’s goal was a clear, amazing free kick, and when he scored it, the billboards changed to say “GOAT” on the screen.
Messi has been given the moniker “Greatest of all time (GOAT)” by his followers, admirers, and allegedly the entire globe. He certainly fits the description, and each game has shown how valuable he is. In his debut season with the Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-Germain, he was a little out of form.
