Angola star does Cristiano Ronaldo celebration in Amputee World Cup
Angola Amputee National Team‘s star man Joao Chiquete amazed the world yesterday by imitating the famous Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Siuu’ celebration after scoring the opener against Haiti in the semi final of the ongoing Amputee World Cup. Angola beat Haiti 4-2 and secured a place in the final on October 9, Sunday.
Amputee Football World Cup is organized by the world Amputee Football Federation (WAFF), and the current edition is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey from 30 September – 9 October 2022 with 24 teams across the world. Angola edged out Turkey 5-4 in a penalty shootout to win the championship last term held in Mexico in 2018.
Joao Chiquete first opened the score for Angola, soon enough Haiti scored back to back goals through Charles Saivola and John Spinoza to take a 2-1 lead. The Angolian’s showed great strength and determination after that, they started putting immense pressure on the Haiti defense and scored three consecutive goals to mark their place in the final.
Angola will now face Turkey to get their second title in this competition. Turkey defeated Uzbekistan 1-0 thanks to the goal scored by Omer Guleryuz. Angolans and Turks will meet on Sunday,October 9 at TFF Riva Stadium. Fans await for an exciting match display from both teams.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his famous Suii celebrations
One of the greatest goalscorers of all-time and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has been doing his trademark ‘Suii’ celebrations for a while now. The Portugal international has been always in news for his variety of goal celebrations and this one has been the standout among all of those.
Cristiano Ronaldo now has more than 850 goals across his career of over 20 years. He had played for Sporting CP and Manchester United before moving to Real Madrid, where he played the most number of matches in his career. He played 292 matches for them and scored 311 goals across all competitions. He currently plays for English team Manchester United.
