WATCH: Brazilian forward Rodrygo rubs his hands on Ronaldo Nazario’s legs to grab his goal-scoring charm
Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario interviews young sensation Rodrygo
Rodrygo, the young sensation for Brazil, said in an interview following his team’s narrow 1-0 victory over Switzerland that the only way to improve his scoring prowess was to massage his hands on Ronaldo Nazario’s legs. The goal, which Casemiro brilliantly finished off, was assisted by the Real Madrid star. The victory secured Brazil’s place in the round of 16, and they will now try to win Group G.
Switzerland performed admirably and had numerous scoring opportunities, but they lacked composure. The game appeared headed for a scoreless draw, but Casemiro changed the game in seconds. Seven minutes from the end, he scored an incredible goal that gave Brazil the victory. In the 66th minute, Vinicius Jnr gave the South Americans the lead, but VAR called it off due to offside.
Rodrygo was truly star-struck when the Brazilian legend interviewed him after the game for FIFA+. The 2002 FIFA World Cup champion questioned him about his first World Cup experience. Rodrygo greeted Ronaldo after the interview and then rubbed his hands on the iconic Brazilian’s legs before doing the same to himself to “magically acquire” the latter’s scoring touch.

Brazil qualify for the knockout stage at the 2022 FIFA World Cup
Brazil became the second team to qualify for the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Monday, joining the tournament hosts France. Brazil crushed Switzerland 1-0 in their second Group G match to earn their second consecutive victory in Qatar.
Brazil presently has six points, which, like France, ensures them a spot in the round of 16, even with one game remaining. With three points more than Cameroon and Serbia, who each have one, Switzerland is ranked second in the group.
Brazil had to rely on a late goal from Casemiro to defeat a tenacious Swiss team in a close game at Stadium 974. The lone goal was scored by midfielder Casemiro for the five-time champions in the 83rd minute with a helper from substitute Rodrygo.
