After a long wait of 33 years Napoli fans have reportedly again taken over the streets of the city to rejoice and celebrate their club’s Serie-A title victory. On Sunday, Inter Milan defeated Lazio with a score line of 3-1.

Lazio were in the second place in the points table right after Napoli. Although they had a 17-point difference between them. But Inter’s victory against Lazio has in turn Napoli towards the trophy a little more.

After Inter scored, Napoli fans started celebrating their club’s league victory after 33 years after the time of Maradona himself. Videos emerged in the internet where fans were seen taking over the streets and waving the Italian tricolor flag. Blue shirts of Napoli were all over the place, worn by most of the fans as an indication of support towards the club.

Fans seem to be very happy and excited with the club’s performance this season. Although it could have been a lot better if they would have qualified for the UCL semi-finals. Instead, they were eliminated in the quarter-final round by AC Milan. But fans seem to only remember the good parts of the season today, as they marched on the streets of Naples after the game between Inter vs Lazio.

Napoli defender Kim Min-jae reportedly will have to celebrate Napoli’s impending Serie A title sensibly. This is because he is to return to his native South Korea in the summer to begin mandatory military service.

As per reports, Kim will be required to complete three weeks of basic and reserve military training. It will take place between June and July. Kim and the rest of the South Korean squad received an exemption from completing full military service after winning gold at the Asian Games in 2018. They defeated Japan 2-1 in extra time of the final.

However, the players are still required to undergo “alternative” military training. Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min also had to complete it in 2020.

Kim has been in exceptional form for Napoli for the vast majority of the season since arriving from Fenerbahce for €18.05 million last summer. He helped Napoli to solidify Luciano Spalletti’s back four on their way to their widely anticipated first Serie A title in 33 years. It could be a busy few weeks for Kim. He reportedly has a €50 million release clause valid for sides outside of Italy. It will become active between July 1 and July 15.
