With Bayern Munich in recent seasons, the 32-year-old has established a reputation as one of the most potent offensive players in European football. The 11-time Bundesliga champion led the German juggernauts to a brilliant debut season under Julian Nagelsmann with 13 goals and an incredible 25 assists. Of course, he will aim to repeat similar results the next year, but at the Emirates Stadium, it is unlikely at best.

The German, who is now traveling with Bayern Munich on their preseason tour in the United States, had time to sign a few autographs before a workout. He was asked by a fairly upbeat fan if he would “come to Arsenal,” and he had a straightforward response. He responded, flashing the fan a sardonic smirk, “No, no, no.”

That comes as no surprise considering that he only recently extended his contract with Bayern Munich through the summer of 2024.

After signing his longer contract, he spoke with the club’s official website and said: “I’m delighted to have extended my contract with FC Bayern Munich until 2024 today. The journey we’ve been on since I joined the FCB academy in 2000 has been a fantastic success story up to now.”

Muller has made 624 appearances and 227 goals for Bayern during his career after rising through the club’s junior ranks. He has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League, with teams like Arsenal and Manchester United allegedly showing interest in his talents in the past.

In 2015, the Gunners apparently made hesitant inquiries about Muller’s future. Former Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal said that his team had also made an £84 million approach for Muller at the same time, only to have his wife suffer a transfer.

Even though Muller won’t be joining Arsenal this summer, north London has welcomed new faces. Oleksandr Zinchenko of Manchester City is expected to sign a transfer after Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus, Matt Turner, and Marquinhos have already done so.
