Napoli reportedly interested in signing the MLS startlet

Atlanta United star Thiago Almada will reportedly depart MLS for Europe this summer. And there has been a lot of speculation about where the Argentine’s next destination will be. Reports suggest that Italian side Napoli are interested to sign the Argentine talent once his contract expires.
MLS insider Tom Bogert has talked about Almada’s transfer this summer in an interview. He said, “Source can confirm Napoli are indeed interested in Thiago Almada. But I’m told no deal is close. Although reports in Italy are saying that it’s done. Won’t be the first type of report with Almada. His name will be mentioned all summer.”
Almada was at Velez Sarsfield before joining Atlanta and this season in MLS. He has already scored four goals and made five assists in just six games. He is a player whose talent will no doubt get him to the highest level. Moving to Napoli would be a tempting move for anyone from Argentina. The club is synonymous with Diego Maradona who made over 200 appearances for the club. Napoli is also going to wrap up the Serie A title this year. After their success under Luciano Spaletti this season, fans are expecting a lot of players to get scooped up by bigger teams next season. The likes of Kvicha Kvaratshkelia and Victor Osimhen are already on the radar of English and Spanish giants. Therefore, it is going to be integral for the Naples-based outfit to scout perfect replacements to replicate their success next year.
