Captain Marcelo, who is leaving the club at the end of June, delivered a heartwarming speech wishing the club success in the future. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr, the club’s most influential players this season also spoke during the celebrations.

As every player was having their moment of glory, David Alaba who speaks fluent Spanish handed over the mic to midfield technician Toni Kroos without realising the German international’s lack of Spanish speaking skills even though being at the Spainish capital for more than eight years.

An awkward silence soon followed with players urging him to just say ‘Hala Madrid’. To everyone’s guess, Agitated Kroos started screaming “Madrid, Madrid, Madrid” which was a entertaining scenario to say the least with his Real teammates laughed and giggling.

Toni Kroos has been an integral part of Los Blancos since his € 35 million move from Bavaria. He has won 5 Champions League, 3 La Liga, 4 Club World Cup and 3 Spanish Super Cups in his time at Real Madrid and has been part of the greatest midfield trio alongside Casemiro and Luka Modric.

Eden Hazard tried hard to make Toni Kroos’ son taste champagne

Eden Hazard, Real Madrid’s club-record signing who did not participate in the final in Paris was seen carrying a glass of champagne before cheekily presenting it to Kroos’ son. The Belgian winger was trying to give the German midfielder’s child a taste of the drink, but the latter was having none of it.

As the event unfolded in front of him, the Germany international felt compelled to act, blocking Hazard’s offer of a drink with his arm. Kroos was clearly displeased by the prospect of his son imbibing alcohol without his consent.

Kroos also waggled his finger at his son, indicating that he would not be permitted to drink that night. Hazard reacted with a grin that suggested he thought his teammate would intercede immediately to avoid the proposal from being accepted.
