If Richarlison’s latest Instagram post is any indication, Tottenham supporters will adore him. After signing a five-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday morning, the Brazilian international has been inundated with messages from his former Everton teammates since his departure from Goodison Park.

The new signing decided to add one of his old Instagram posts from 2020 to his stories on Saturday after reposting a number of heartfelt messages to his Instagram stories. The image of Richarlison squaring up to Hector Bellerin while one of his Arsenal teammates lay injured on the ground has since gone viral among Tottenham fans.

Richarlison has only been a Tottenham player for a little over 24 hours, but he is quickly gaining the support of the club’s fans. Tottenham fans will be hoping he can repeat his heroics against Arsenal when the first north London derby of the season takes place at the Emirates on Saturday, October 1.

Richarlison’s video to Tottenham fans came after the attacker posted an emotional tribute to Everton fans earlier in the day following his departure from Goodison Park after four years on Merseyside.

“It’s very difficult to say goodbye to a place that has become my home; of fans who welcomed me not just as another player, but as if I were one of them, in the stands; and a club that treated me kindly and helped me develop my sense of community and empathy,” he said.
