Why has Mathias Pogba been in news lately?
In an odd video that he released online, Mathias claimed to have “explosive” information regarding the Juventus player and others. While playing for Manchester United and Wrexham, respectively, the 32-year-old and Paul lived together.
In the viral video he said: “The French, English, Italian and Spanish public, in other words, the whole world, as well as my brother’s fans, and even more so the French team and Juventus, my brother’s teammates and his sponsors deserve to know certain things.”
“In order to make an informed decision if he deserves the admiration, respect and love of the public. If he deserves his place in the French team and the honour of playing in the World Cup. If he deserves to be a starter at Juventus. If he is a trustworthy person, that any player deserves to have at his side.” Mathias also promised that the revelations would be “explosive”.
On February 5, 2013, Mathias made his debut for Guinea at the international level in a friendly match against Senegal. For the final 30 minutes of Guinea’s 1-1 draw, he came off the bench to play alongside twin brother Florentin Pogba. He earned five caps before leaving the Syli Nationale in 2017, however he never played in an Africa Cup of Nations competition.
