Sanchez Martinez all set to be the referee for Barcelona vs Real Madrid

The highly anticipated forthcoming La Liga match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be officiated by Spanish football referee Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez. The match, where the top two spots of the table compete against one another to maintain the top spot, is slated to take place on October 16.

In 2000, Sánchez started officiating. Prior to moving up to Segunda División the following year, he officiated in Segunda División B for the 2010–11 season. He received a promotion to referee in La Liga, Spain’s premier level, after four years.

Sanchez Martinez has officiated five Clasicos so far, with three triumphs going to Barcelona and two going to Real Madrid. He oversaw the El Clasico match from the previous season, which Real Madrid won 1-2 at Camp Nou. He always approached the game with sincerity and integrity.
The two very competitive squads will meet for the first time during the game this season. Barcelona now leads the table after winning seven of the eight games they participated in. They have accumulated 20 points altogether. In second place with 19 points is Real Madrid.
