The 2018 World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappe, insists he is not provoked by an early Champions League exit and is happy to help the club
Kylian Mbappe was recently asked about his future at PSG after they succumbed to Bayern Munich 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and faces the threat of being knocked out. However, rubbishing all these rumors, Mbappe insisted that he is happy where he is and is ready to help the club win more trophies.
Mbappé, while throwing light on his future at PSG commented, “I don’t think so. I’m here at PSG, I’m very happy, and I can’t think of anything other than enjoying PSG life”.
Mbappe also responded to the Ballon d’Or query when asked if he will be able to win it one day. “Ballon d’Or? For sure it’s a mission for me to win the Ballon d’Or one day,” the Frenchman added.
PSG will face Bayern in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at the Allianz Arena on Thursday with Bayern having a slight advantage. They will hope to turn the match around and defeat The Bavarians on home ground and hope their star players put up their best shift if they are to qualify for the latter stages of the competition

In 29 matches played so far in the Ligue 1 and Champions League combined, Kylian Mbappe has scored 25 goals and provided 3 assists. The Frenchman is on course to become one of the best players in the world and compete with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He is thus, assumed to be one of the young decorated players of football who has eyes on the Champions League.
The Frenchman yesterday became the most successful goal scorer for PSG at the age of just 24 years after scoring his 201st goal for the club. The goal came in the additional team and helped PSG win 4-2 over Nantes in Ligue 1. With this win, the French giants consolidated their lead at the top of the table and move 11 points ahead of second-placed, Marseille.
Kylian Mbappe was almost certain of dumping PSG for Real Madrid last summer when an attractive offer from the owners at the last moment made him extend his contract for three more years. However, many pundits believe that if PSG fails to win the Champions League in the years to come by, it will be very difficult for the management to make the Frenchman stay.
