‘Nightmare move ?’- Manchester United will let Cristiano Ronaldo leave if they fail to qualify for UEFA Champions League

Manchester United will reportedly not stand in the way of Cristiano Ronaldo’s demands of leaving Old Trafford in the summer. It is believed that the five-time Ballon D’or winner is ready to quit the Red Devils should they fail to secure Champions League football for next season.

Ronaldo made a blockbuster return to Manchester United after 11 year away at Real Madrid and Juventus. However the move now has been accepted as an error of judgment which was backed by both commercial factors and not letting Ronaldo join fierce rivals Manchester City. Cristiano Ronaldo was expected to transform Manchester United into Premier League and Champions League contenders. But it has all gone sideways since the start of the season for United.
