In what has been a whirlwind half for the hosts Nantes, they have scored 3 goals against the French league leaders and are on their way to an upset victory. Nantes looked dangerous right from the start of their match, after setting up with a 3-5-3 against a Paris side, which featured the dream attacking trio featuring, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

However, despite the star-studded lineup for Paris Saint Germain, the Nantes players have trumped them completely. The first goal of the night came from Randal Kolo Muani, as he scored from a lightning counter-attack in the 4th minute of the match.

Nantes continued to show their strength upfront and scored again n the 16th minute this time through a wonder strike from their defender, Quentin Merlin, who curled his shot right into the top left corner past the diving Keylor Navas in goal.

Paris Saint Germain almost found a way back into the game, after Dennis Appiah was awarded a direct red card in the 45th minute for a lousy challenge, but it was changed to a yellow after the Video Assistant referee intervened and eventually the correct decision was made.

Nantes though continued to do their part in attack and were awarded yet again this time courtesy of a handball from Georginio Wijnaldum. The referee did not award it at first glance, but once again VAR intervened and Ludovic Blas slammed the penalty down the middle to score the third goal for his side.
