However Milan keeper Tatarusanu made the save denying Lautaro Martinez and Inter the lead from the spot. Both sides had decent chances in the second half but the game ended in a stalemate.

Napoli are also coming off a 1-1 draw against an in form Hellas Verona side. Goivanni Simeone scored for Hellas Verona in the 13th minute his ninth goal this season. However defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo equalised just 5 minutes after that following a great set piece delivery by Fabian Ruiz. Napoli are level on points with Milan at the top but have a superior goal difference.
