Shakira has a clause in the custody of her children with Gerard Pique which states that his current girlfriend Clara Chia Marti cannot meet their children. The couple split up on June 2022, after 11 years of dating. The former FC Barcelona defender confirmed his relationship with Clara Chia Marti shortly after.

The break-up has not been respectful in any sense as both of them have thrown potshots at each other. This includes a few of Shakira’s songs where she dissed both her ex and his current girlfriend. Media have been involved throughout this whole ordeal.

Nevertheless, the couple reached to a custody agreement in November of the same year. The Colombian singer left Barcelona to move to Miami with her children, Milan and Sasha. Gerard Pique would get his time with the children on designated days.

However, this agreement apparently has a clause inserted in it. Journalist Pepe del Real has revealed in “El programa de Ana Rosa”, there is a clause within the custody agreement that was included by Shakira. It“marks or regulates who can be in the house and live with the children.” Nobody can enter the house when the children are there without the consent of both parents. The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer has not given permission to his current girlfriend to access the house.

Shakira’s clause has prevented the children from attending their uncle’s wedding

This clause has prevented the children from attending their uncle, Marc Pique’s wedding which took place earlier this week. The journalist said, “Pique was until the last moment trying to reach an agreement with Shakira so that she would let them come, but the problem is that she told him that the agreement says that his current partner, until it is agreed by both, can not share space with minors because they have to have time to adapt to living together and so on.”

The journalist also said,  “Clara Chía, on this occasion, when Piqué arrived with his children, moved to her parent’s house. Instead of sharing a house, she has been staying with her parents. Piqué was saying: ‘She won’t let me have the children. If she lets me, I can’t take my current partner to see them.“

It will be interesting to see what will happen if the pair get married. Gerard Pique was reportedly planning to get engaged to Clara Chia at his brother’s wedding. However, no official news has come out as of now.
